THE TROPHY PET FOODS BRITISH MEDIUM TRIO'S CHALLENGE
THE TROPHY PET FOODS BRITISH MAXI TRIO'S CHALLENGE
Teams of 3 dogs of the same height, but at different levels of competition, will accumulate points in classes at British Trios Qualifier Shows. The points for each member of the team will be combined and the top 10 teams in each height category will be invited to compete in a British Trios Challenge Final for each height of dog at the BAA Grand Prix Finals on 23-25 August 2008.
How will it work?
- Each Team will consist of 1 Introductory, 1 Primary and 1 Novice Plus dog. For example, to enter a team for the British Medium Trio's Challenge, the team must comprise 1 Introductory Medium, 1 Primary Medium and 1 Novice Plus Medium dog.
- During the season there will be a number of BAA nominated qualifying shows at different venues. Look out for "British Trios Qualifier" on the schedules!
- Individual members of the team will earn points for their team dependent on their individual performances in the classes they compete in at the qualifying shows. All points-scoring classes count except for Junior and Veteran events.
- For the purposes of this challenge, the highest placed Maxi, Medium and Mini/Micro in each class at the qualifying shows will earn 10 points for their team, with the next highest earning 9 points and so on. All dogs will earn 1 point for a clear round outside the top 10 of their height.
- It is not a requirement that all 3 team members are competing at a qualifying show for individual members to earn points for their team.
- Teams MUST register BEFORE they can earn any team points – points cannot be gained retrospectively.
- A team only needs to register once during the season.
- No dog can be a member of more than 1 team.
The Finals
- The top 10 Trios from each height category will qualify for the Finals. In the absence of a team member not attending the Finals a substitute may be nominated, but 2 of the qualifying team must be in the competing team and the substitute must be competing at the same level as the absent member and must not be part of another team that has qualified for the Finals.
- The Final will take the form of a Trios Jumping Relay and the winners will receive the title British Team of the Year for their height.
